Twice as Nice

This lovely duo belong to Dawn Larcombe of Deloraine.
Dawn choose to dress Dorothea in an Anlaby pattern called Dorothea.
This pattern uses 4 hanks of beads with
2 balls of perle 8 cotton.
Beads are no.454-7 and the cotton is D.M.C. no.783.

Dawn knitted the skirt below, which was made using her scrap beads and cotton.
The skirt was made using the pattern Florence from Lynette Hendriks.
Dawn did not put the bustle onto the back of the dress,as she didn't have enough beads, but the skirt still came out to be a very pretty adaptation of the pattern.
Dawn used beads no.466  with
D.M.C. cotton no.995

Half Doll Dorothea

Dorothea is dressed by Jillian Robertson of Morphettivale in South Australia.
Jillian started bead knitting only a couple of years ago,and has made this lovely skirt, using the pattern Dorothea from Anlaby Designs.
Dorothea was placed onto a large stand,to show the beauty of this pattern which give's her the look of Scarlett from"Gone with the Wind"
Jillian added a few extra rows to the pattern at the top of the skirt, just under the ribbon waist band(see tutorials)to add her own stamp to the design.
Pattern uses 4 x hanks of beads and 2 x balls of cotton.

 Beads used 354-T and D.M.C. cotton 754
