Twice as Nice

This lovely duo belong to Dawn Larcombe of Deloraine.
Dawn choose to dress Dorothea in an Anlaby pattern called Dorothea.
This pattern uses 4 hanks of beads with
2 balls of perle 8 cotton.
Beads are no.454-7 and the cotton is D.M.C. no.783.

Dawn knitted the skirt below, which was made using her scrap beads and cotton.
The skirt was made using the pattern Florence from Lynette Hendriks.
Dawn did not put the bustle onto the back of the dress,as she didn't have enough beads, but the skirt still came out to be a very pretty adaptation of the pattern.
Dawn used beads no.466  with
D.M.C. cotton no.995

Tip
Fif and Lizzi Pattern has a very large waist and needed 20 stitches removed.
The decrease over 4 rows method was used.
Dorothea's skirt was then finished with a ribbon waist band.
Instructions for this waist band and the decrease over 4 rows method can be found in the tutorials.
Wendy's knitted waist band can also be
found on the tutorials page.
