I knitted this fox Scarf for
Granddaughter's Juniper's
3rd Birthday.
I found the free pattern on line
thanks to Gina Michele's blog.
Followed most of the pattern
until the head,
and then tweeked it a bit.
I will set the pattern out on
how I completed my scarf
below for you below.
But please go to her blog
first on the link below
to see the scarf in progress,
and get the feel of it.
As I didn't take any photo's as I went
and only thought I would lay out
how I had completed my scarf,
for you at the last moment

Head Embroidery
I found the middle of the head
using the middle stitch of the
nose as my guide.
Count down 12 rows, from the last row
of the 15 stockinette rows.
Starting in the middle do one stitch on top of another.
Working backwards
Next row..3 stitches,on top
of the one stitch.
Repeat the last row of 3 stitches.
From then on,
one stitch on either side
of the row before until I met up with
the last row of the 15 stockinette rows.
Cut yarn and weave your ends in.
Please use my photo as a guide.
Ear Embroidery
Starting at the bottom of the ear.
Start 2 stitches in and embroider to the last two stitches.
Next two rows, embroider one stitch in on each end of first row.
repeat last 2 rows, 3 times.
Last row..One stitch in the middle of the last 2 stitches of the previous row.
Using the black yarn I then ran a running stitch
up either side of the ear.
Stitch to head.I left the top peak of the ear
un-stitched to the head so it would curl forward.

Nose
Bend and stitch the 5 stitch tab in place
at the back of the head.
Do a long stitch in black yarn to form the nose.
Ribbon
Cast on 30 stitches and purl the first row.
Stockinette stitch for 3 rows

to form the bow.
